Meet Sangeeta, a nature & travel enthusiast
Sangeeta is a researcher confined within the concrete realm of real estate. Despite the professional label, she is ruled more by her heart – the love for wildlife spurred by her childhood memories spent in a national park in north-east India. The daughter of a conservator of forests, she enjoys exploring the various facets of nature and dabbles in amateur birding along with her shutterbug husband and their son. She loves listening to tales from the jungle, of brave men and animals, and she hopes that the next generation would appreciate wildlife in their natural habitat, rather than in a glorified enclosure.

Winner of Write India Season 2 held by The Times of India: At the Grand Finale
…..and what a night that was! The top winners of the Write India season 2 contest held by The Times of India were felicitated at the Times Litfest in Delhi, along with the book launch, and I was so, so happy to be a part of it . My story had won the first prize for Ruskin Bond, something that was beyond my dreams. It’s just unbelievable to see my name and story alongside Ruskin Bond, someone whose writing I have idolized since childhood. I am truly thankful to have been born in a family where stories are shared and writing is encouraged. It helps if your better half supports you, too. But perhaps the best part of that day was my story being chosen to be staged as a play by a professional theatre group. It was a surreal experience to witness my own story, set in Assam, come to life — with Assamese music playing right in the middle of Delhi. I shall cherish this little win for the rest of my life!
