For a long time, we had been considering a trip to Bali during our son’s school vacation. Finally, in April 2024, we turned that plan into reality—and returned exhilarated. It was one of our most fulfilling international trips in recent years. We stuck to the places we truly wanted to see, resisting Instagram’s recommendations, and explored gorgeous, peaceful locations away from the jostling crowds.
